Backup-Spot may require further proof to validate your personal information you provided upon signing up with us. This may be in form of an copy of an governmental ID or Passport. Backup-Spot will not share these documents with any third party. Backup-Spot employees will destroy the provided documents immediately after you proofed the correctness of the personal information provided.

Use of information

Backup-Spot uses any information given by our customers solely to contact the customer, to confirm it's identity and address to prevent fraud.

Service Privacy

Backup-Spot implemented custom scripts to quickly identify Security Invulnerabilis and Terms of Service breaches to protect other customers. We will not directly login to the customers account to look at files without any reason. Due to the nature of backup servers, backup files shouldn't be placed in an public_html folder unless you want to restore any backup files. Backup-Spot reserves the right to search through user accounts, if we have valid indications that the customer is breaching our Terms of Service. We will also send customers a notice if our script finds any security concerns within any customer account.

Security

Backup-Spot operates an state of the art datacenter protected by industry standard firewall and enhanced key / password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our customers.

Opt-Out Policy

We give users options wherever necessary and practical. Such choices include: Opting not to register to receive our electronic newsletters or Opting not to to purchase any services from Backup-Spot.
