I've needed to start storing backups for awhile. At first I was able to backup simply by dvd-burning, but as my business (and play) has grown, 5+ dvd's a day/every few days has become a hassle... just to keep current.
I've read alot of reviews on backup sites lately. While my needs aren't "mission critical", I felt that I was in a unique position to give someone new a chance. I found this site through an online game of all things!
I run an ebay business, we receive and ship close to 200 items a day, ontop of taking in ordinary peoples items and listing them for a fee(consignment). Data that I need to keep backed up has just been piling up and piling up, while I have backed up to another computer in the store and constantly burn dvd's(time consuming now), if anything were to happen, I would be up ****s creek.

I signed up at backup-spot.com 3 days ago. My account was instantly created, unfortunately I didn't have a clue what to do next. Contacted support, within an hour I was receiving help, the customer service rep was nice enough to explain to me how I needed to backup my customer database/logs based on how my business ran. He even walked me through it. It's only been a few days, but everything has went perfectly so far! I haven't had to touch a dvd since. Saves me about 30 minutes a day.
A+ great customer support
A+ price is very competitive to other backup services
A+ overall
Hello Everyone,
I would like to share my review of Backup-Spot with the community, on Thursday 25th November 2010 i spoke with a lovely gentleman on live chat called Richard he talked me through multiple options that they had to offer and i told him what i wanted and in the end we came up with a backup schedule that would work for me.
I thought about what he had told me for a few days and on the 27th November 2010 i decided to take up their 20GB shared package which gives me 20GB of backup space, ssh access, and other features (http://backup-spot.com/shared-backup-plans/)
Once i was signed up i opened a support ticket as they offer free setup on your server for backups to their solution which was something that i as a inexperienced user would really find useful.
I had a reply almost immediately telling me that my support request had been recived and that i was now in the queue for setup and may take 24hours.
On the 28th November 2010 i had a message from Richard giving me a full breakdown of what they had changed on my server and the schedule they had setup.
I think Backup-Spot is a really great company that i have yet to really need as i have only just setup with them, i would recommend them to anyone from what i have seen so far.
I hope someone finds this useful
Many Thanks
Rich
I currently have 2x 500GB disks in raid 1 and I rsync the critical data to my off-site backup account. I use backup-spot.com right now for my off-site backups and I really like them so far.
