Why Us?

We still believe in true customer service and treat every customer as if he or she was our only customer. We ensure that all Backups are running on fast, stable, and reliable machines by proactively monitoring every service on each machine as well as utilizing the most up-to-date software. We also actively keep every server as secure as possible by performing weekly security audits and daily virus scans to ensure that your data is safe with us. If we perform maintenance tasks we will give you 24 hours notice to ensure that you are prepared ahead of time. At Backup-Spot customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance.

Why was Backup-Spot founded?

One of the reasons why Backup-Spot was founded is due to the lack of communication and security from other backup hosting providers. What if your server is currently suffering downtime and you need your backup? And while trying to login to your server, you notice that your backup provider is currently running maintenance and you are unable to obtain your backups? We give every customer 5 days notice before we run maintenance tasks, so that you are prepared!

Server Hardware

Our Servers are hosted within Softlayer Datacenters and we utilise only state of the art premium grade hardware from Sun Microsystems. Backup-Spot's servers are running the latest Intel Xeon Lynnfield processors with Hardware RAID 10 for the ultimate hard drive redundancy. Our network connection is a blisteringly fast 1Gbps which allows you to upload your backups in no time at all.

Server Security

Our Datacenter is secured by armed security guards and digital security video surveillance. The server itself is protected by industry standard software firewalls, anti-virus scanners, network intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems and Nessus® vulnerability assessment & reporting. Our weekly security audit includes software firewall inspection, vulnerability scanning and log reviewing for critical incidents. We also hire third party companies every month to scan the server for security leaks.
